Sale Procedure

The sale will begin promptly at 1:00 PM EST, underneath the pole barn at the Keller's Simmentals, Inc. farm. No animals will be brought into the barn during the sale, so it is very important to arrive early enough to view the bulls and to make your final selection, prior to start of the sale.

The bulls in the first pen will be offered for sale at a minimum starting bid of $1500 each. You are bidding for your pick of the first pen. Bidding will continue, increasing in $100 increments, until there is only one bidder left. The successful high bidder may purchase his/her choice from the pen at the high bid price. (For Example: The bidding on pen #1 starts out at $1500. Five different bidders bid $1500. The bid is increased to $1600 and again five different bidders bid that amount. The bidding increases in $100 increments up to $2500. At that point, only one person bids and he wins the right to pick his choice from the pen. He may purchase one or all the remaining bulls in that particular pen for $2500.)

After the bidder has announced his selection, the bidding will begin again at $1500 on the remaining bulls in the pen. This process will go on, until all the bulls in the pen are sold or there are no starting bids on the pen of $1500. At that time, the pen will be "passed", and the next pen in line will be auctioned off in the same manner as described previously.

Any bulls not sold, are for sale on a first come, first served basis at the clerk's table at the minimum starting bid of $1500, for the remainder of the day. After that day, the price will increase to one set by the bull's owner, but will not drop below the minimum bid price of $1500.

If you have any questions about this bidding procedure, please don't hesitate to call the sale manager, Jessie Driggers at (912) 237-0608, or email him.

Anyone unable to attend the sale, but still interested in bidding on a bull in the sale, may do so by contacting the sale manager's at (912) 237-0608 or (912) 657-6605. Be assured that your bidding will be handled with the utmost honesty and integrity.
